2. Furniture Dimensions

Furniture has been designed to accommodate the average person since the beginning of time. But what if you are taller than average? Or shorter than average? Some people can’t afford custom-made furniture. So there have to be standards for furniture so that everyone can have access to it. The idea of a standard is to make the furniture accessible to everyone, no matter their height, no matter their weight.

3. Kitchen and space dimensions

When you have decided to move or renovate your kitchen, you should know the standard dimensions of the kitchen furniture and related details. Most people have a standard set of rules or a standard set of rules that they follow when they prepare to renovate their kitchen or bathroom. You should know the minimum distance between the stove and the sink, or the minimum distance between the table and the sofa. You should know the standard height of the table and the sink.

3. Furniture placement dimensions

Furniture placement is an important part of the design and planning of a room. Whether you are designing a room from scratch or adding furniture to an existing room, it is important to choose furniture that will not cause safety issues and will encourage proper posture, body alignment, and circulation of air. In general, it is advisable to use the minimum amount of furniture possible and to use furniture that is conducive to the human body. With these guidelines, furniture placement is relatively easy.

4. Floor plan dimensions

First and foremost, the floor plan dimensions of your home must be taken into consideration. Will you be building a small studio or a large, spacious home? Depending on the type of floor plan you choose, the size of your home will vary. If you are working on a small studio, you will need to keep the floor plan as simple as possible, while a large home will need a more complex plan.

5. Bathroom dimensions

We've all been there. You're in a hurry to get ready for work, and you're trying to shave just a few minutes off your morning routine. You're running late, so you push your coffee table back a little too hard and it crashes to the ground. It's not a huge deal; it's not like any of your stuff was on it. But it's enough to make you want to scream, especially because there go the last few minutes of your morning routine. The dimensions of a bathroom are extremely important as they affect the overall look of the room and the entire house. The dimensions of the bathroom have to be perfect and should be according to the standard. The standard dimensions of a bathroom depend on a lot of factors and people will often adjust the dimensions according to the type of house they live in. For example, in houses with high ceilings, it is better to have a higher ceiling at home so that it looks spacious and airy.

6. Furniture size dimensions

The standard furniture sizing is based on the average male height. The standard unit of measurement is the "Anatomical-Height-Standard" (AHS). The anatomical height standard is the distance from a level floor to the top of the head of a man of average proportions. In the Netherlands the standard is 1.77 meters, in the United States the standard is 1.76 meters and in the United Kingdom, it is 1.77 meters. A standard table height is between 80 and 85 centimeters. With a table height of 100 centimeters, there is no place for the legs. That's why we use a table height of 85 centimeters. A standard sofa is 90 95 centimeters high. The standard distance from the back of a sofa to the back of a chair is 15 centimeters. A standard shower height is 85 centimeters and a standard washbasin height is 55 centimeters. A standard toilet seat height is 45 centimeters. The minimum distance of a toilet to a washbasin is 60 centimeters. Just like in real estate, the three most important things in furniture are location, location, and location. Although the furniture is technically for sitting, lying, or sleeping, there are specific sizes for each purpose. For your home, you will have to consider the size of your room and the size of the people who will be using the furniture.

7. Home furniture dimensions.

The human body is a wonderful object that can turn out to be a problem when you are designing a home. The dimensions of a person are the following: • the height of the head is 1.2 meters, • the length of the arm is 1.1 meters, • the length of the foot is 0.3 meters, • the height of the body is 1.7 meters.

Conclusion: The overall dimensions of the house are very important and one should not compromise on them.
